Dr. G. Ravichandran completed his MBBS at the prestigious Madras Medical College in 1980, followed by his Diploma in Dermatology (1984) and MD in Dermatology (1989) — all under the legendary guidance of Prof. A.S. Thambaiah and Prof. Patrick Yesudian.
In 1985, he trained in Dermatosurgery under Prof. P.N. Behl at the Skin Institute, New Delhi. Inspired by vitiligo surgical techniques, he has since pioneered melanocyte transplant methods and performed over 2,000 vitiligo surgeries with exceptional success rates.
He served as Professor of Dermatology at Stanley Medical College for over 15 years, shaped the next generation of dermatologists, and co-authored the Dermatology chapter in Davidson's Textbook of Medicine — one of the world's most widely read medical references.
